Blue Elephant Café is looking for an experienced, responsible, and organized Cook to join our team in the center of Batumi.

Working Schedule
October – May
Working hours: 09:00–18:00
Schedule: 5 working days / 2 days off
Summer Season – June, July, August & September
Working hours: 09:00–21:00
Schedule: 2 working days / 2 days off
About the Job
Blue Elephant Café mainly operates in the breakfast and brunch segment, with our busiest service period generally between 11:00 and 15:00–16:00.
Our menu includes breakfast dishes, brunch items, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, and other café-style dishes.
We are looking for a cook who can prepare dishes consistently according to our recipes and presentation standards while maintaining good speed and organization during busy service periods.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparing breakfast and brunch dishes
- Preparing burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, and other menu items
- Following established recipes, portions, and presentation standards
- Ensuring consistent food quality and taste
- Preparing ingredients and completing daily mise en place
- Working efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch service
- Monitoring food products, expiration dates, and storage conditions
- Following FIFO principles
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and working station
- Following food-safety and hygiene standards
- Minimizing food waste and controlling portions
- Informing management about required products and low-stock items
- Properly using and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Cooperating with waiters, bar staff, and management
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook is preferred
- Experience with breakfast, brunch, or café-style cuisine is an advantage
- Ability to work independently at a kitchen station
- Good understanding of food preparation and kitchen organization
- Ability to follow recipes and portion standards
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods
- Responsible, punctual, organized, and clean
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to follow Blue Elephant Café's quality and presentation standards
Trial / Test Days
Selected candidates may be invited for 1–2 paid trial working days.
During the trial period, we will evaluate cooking skills, speed, food quality, presentation, cleanliness, kitchen organization, and teamwork.
Trial working days are paid.
